We invite an exceptional and experienced Restaurant Manager, or an experienced supervisor, to apply for this dream position at Room with Roses.
You will be managing a nationally awarded iconic, long established and successful restaurant in a prestigious CBD location.
Our 100+ seat establishment provides the highest quality environment, service and on-premises made food and beverages.

Your professional standards and presentation will match ours and assist in developing further excellence. You will be managing a small and friendly front of house team and liasiing closely with the kitchen team.
Your proven capacity to continue and help build on our successful formula, whilst working closely and flexibly with the owner, will distinguish your application.
Your responsibilities will include:
- managing the customer experience and responding to customer enquiries and emails
- ensuring the successful delivery of functions for 100+ guests
- developing and implementing sales strategies, including in house prepared merchandise, and monitoring performance
- managing social media
- recruiting, training and managing staff to ensure excellent customer service
- assisting in front and back of house activities, as needed
- ensuring ongoing compliance with liquor and food licence requirements
- working closely with the owner and head chef
- liaising with the owner in the development of budgets
- relevant income and expense management including cash handling and daily reconciliations
Your skills and attributes will include:
- an easygoing personality
- excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- 3+ years experience in successfully managing restaurants
- excellent relationship skills with guests, staff and suppliers
- proven complaint resolution skills
- supervision of staff and rostering
- team building skills including training new staff and ongoing professional development of existing staff
- ability and willingness to work to a proven and successful formula
- outstanding barista skills
- a willingness to provide support as an all-rounder, as required
- active participation in business development activities
- proven experience in business and financial management
- attention to detail
- RMLV and RSA essential
- Degree / diploma in Hospitality (or equivalent experience) very highly regarded
- Ability to work Saturdays and school holidays essential and not negotiable (venue closed Easter, Christmas and New Year public holidays)
- IT skills (Word & Excel) an advantage
Minimum 36 hours per week

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
