Our Ideal Candidate has:
- Passion and Dedication: You are committed to supporting our participants and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Qualifications: You hold a Certificate III or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or Individual Support (preferred).
- Experience: You have experience working with participants who have various disabilities (High care needs - Low care needs, complex mental health and complex physical health).
- Skilled: You possess excellent people skills, a sound understanding of NDIS requirements, and experience in mental health care (highly desired).
- Support Capabilities: You are skilled in performing personal care tasks, conducting manual handling, and providing care in both home and community settings.
- Trauma-Informed: You can approach situations from a trauma-informed perspective to enhance the lives of our participants.
- Behavior Management: Knowledge of trauma and its effects on the development and behaviours of people and also providing positive behavior support.
- Values: You value honesty and integrity, demonstrating these in your professional conduct.
- Flexibility: You are willing to work various shifts, including days, weekends, nights, and overnights across a 24/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for complex care needs and manage moderate to high challenging behaviors.
- Engage with participants according to their positive behavior support plans and individual protocols.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
- Offer intensive daily support to both young people and adults.
- Maintain detailed shift reports, progress updates, and incident reports.
- Help with scheduling and attending appointments, social events, recreational activities, and shopping.
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, light cleaning, and other domestic duties.

Pay: $36.00 – $45.00 per hour

- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- Working with Children Check (Preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required)
- National Police Certificate (Preferred)
- Driver Licence (Required)
