What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly creative and motivated Social & Content Specialist to join the ANZ Marketing team. This role owns the end-to-end content creation, social media management, audience growth strategy, and earned media amplification across Tesla's owned social channels (Instagram and X) in Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will produce best-in-class photography, video, and written content, while driving earned media coverage and brand advocacy – growing follower base, engagement, and brand affinity while upholding Tesla's distinctive brand standards.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Production
-
Capture and produce high-quality photography and video of Tesla vehicles, products, events, and customer experiences.
-
Edit and deliver engaging short-form (Reels, Stories) and long-form video content (behind-the-scenes, product features, event recaps) using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent.
-
Retouch and edit photos using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to maintain a premium, on-brand visual standard.
-
Write platform-native copy for posts, captions, stories, and community responses — adapting tone and style to suit each audience and platform.
Social Media Management
-
Manage Tesla ANZ’s Instagram and X accounts end-to-end: content planning, scheduling, publishing, and performance tracking.
-
Develop and execute a monthly content calendar focused on audience growth, engagement, and brand awareness.
-
Actively monitor and engage with the community — responding to comments, DMs, and trending conversations in a timely, authentic, and brand-aligned way.
-
Leverage trending topics, platform features, and cultural moments to maximize reach and relevance.
Performance & Insight
-
Track and analyse key metrics: follower growth, engagement rate, reach, impressions, video views, sentiment, and earned media value.
-
Use platform analytics and tools like Sprout Social, Brandwatch, or Meltwater to generate weekly insights and monthly performance reports.
-
Translate data into actionable recommendations to refine content, posting cadence, and creative approach.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Partner with Sales, Service, Charging, Energy, Design, Legal, and Global Marketing teams to source content, support campaigns, and align with business objectives.
-
Support ad-hoc content needs from regional stores, events, and channel partners.
-
Act as a brand guardian — ensuring all content, tone, and visuals reflect Tesla’s global standards and local market nuances.
What You'll Bring
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing within automotive, tech, lifestyle, e-commerce, or high-growth DTC brands.
-
A strong portfolio demonstrating photography, video editing, and copywriting across Instagram and X.
-
Proven success in managing brand social accounts with measurable improvements in audience growth and engagement.
-
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom) and Canva or similar tools.
-
Experience with social media analytics tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, etc.).
-
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — able to write clear, compelling, and brand-aligned copy.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
-
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Media, Design, or related field — or equivalent proven experience.
-
Willingness to travel within ANZ for shoots and events.
