The AODS and Specialist Teams at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Social Worker (a Mental Health Clinician) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
Provide advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Older Persons Mental Health Team, Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.
About the Team
The Older Persons Mental Health Team provides specialised expertise for the community, in the assessment, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of individuals who may have a mental illness or disorder, or a dual diagnosis issue, that is complicated by problems and illnesses related to aging. The Older Persons Mental Health Team assists older people with mental illness to remain living and participating in the community or primary health care setting, whilst also co-ordinating and supporting access to a range of appropriate services to assist with recovery and least restrictive practice.
The team supports primary care and aged care providers, solo workers and/or small teams to undertake consumer assessments for a wide range of consumers (including those with complex and unclear aetiology), especially where minimal local consultant support is available.
