The Opportunity:
Due to an internal move, a role has open up for a skilled and ambitious Production Supervisor to join our team.
Reporting to the Production & Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be accountable for optimising all available resources and maximising the efficiency of the plant with safety front of mind. Supervising a shift, you will be actively involved in maintaining and improving safety standards and maximising and maintaining product quality.
You will be expected to be hands-on while supporting the Production Manager with regards to integrated risk management systems (Food Safety, Quality, WH&S and Environment) and continual improvement. The nature of our product is seasonal and during the planned shutdown, we expect all permanent staff to assist with the maintenance of the plant. Please note: this includes welding and fitting and we require this experience to be considered for this role.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years leading teams and coordinating rosters within an industrial setting (food processing or FMCG manufacturing experience highly desired).
- Hands-on experience in the maintenance of manufacturing/processing plants in a fitting and welding capacity is required (formal fitting trade qualification is highly desired).
- Knowledge in HACCP, GMP, Quality Systems & WH&S is required.
- Current drivers licence + Current forklift licence are required.
- Knowledge of Almond grades and USDA specifications is highly desired.
- Experience working with SAP and data analysis is highly desired.
- Previous experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry will be highly regarded.
- Prior experience in continual improvement and BRC systems will also be highly regarded.
