About the role
Our Personal Injuries team is dedicated to protecting the rights and entitlements of our clients. We're now looking for a Lawyer to join our Specialised Onboarding Team (SOT) on an 18-month fixed-term contract, assisting clients from across Queensland.
This is a dynamic and client-focused role that sits at the front end of the client journey. As part of our specialised onboarding team, you'll be responsible for engaging with prospective clients, assessing potential claims, providing initial legal guidance, and ensuring clients receive an exceptional onboarding experience.
You'll play a critical role in helping people at what is often a challenging time in their lives, while working closely with our broader Personal Injuries team to ensure matters are identified, assessed and transitioned efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting initial consultations with prospective clients and assessing potential personal injury claims

Providing preliminary legal advice and identifying appropriate pathways for clients

Managing a high volume of enquiries while delivering an outstanding client experience

Building rapport with clients through empathetic, professional and solutions-focused communication

Making timely decisions regarding claim viability and next steps

Liaising with internal teams to facilitate smooth matter establishment and file transition

Preparing file notes, correspondence and initial legal documentation

Contributing to process improvements and initiatives that enhance the client onboarding experience

About You
We're seeking a Lawyer with experience in personal injury law, workers' compensation, insurance law, or a related practice area. You may be an experienced personal injuries lawyer looking for a different style of practice, or a lawyer who enjoys building client relationships and delivering outstanding service.

Holds a current Australian practising certificate

Communicates clearly, confidently and compassionately with clients and colleagues

Enjoys client-facing work and building trust from the very first interaction

Can confidently assess legal matters and exercise sound judgement in a fast-paced environment

Thrives managing a high-volume workload while maintaining attention to detail

Is highly organised and able to balance competing priorities

Is confident using Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems

Enjoys working collaboratively across virtual teams and offices
