Hourly rate: $34.44 - $36.81 including 25% casual loading

About the Role
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers (in line with participant choice and support requirements) to join our dedicated team, supporting individuals living with multiple complexities.
This role is ideal for professionals with experience supporting people living with Huntington's Disease, severe dysphagia, complex behaviours, high falls risk, and those who communicate using Assistive Technology (AT). You will work within a small, supportive team to deliver high-quality daily living support in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment.
This position will initially be offered on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent part-time based on performance, reliability, and demonstrated skills.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, person-centred personal care and daily living support.
- Support participants with Huntington's Disease, severe dysphagia, complex behaviours, and high falls risk.
- Follow Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and implement behaviour support strategies safely and consistently.
- Assist with medication administration, meal-time management, and complex care supports.
- Support participants who communicate using Assistive Technology (AT) and adapt communication approaches to individual needs.
- Provide high-intensity supports, including manual handling and other complex care tasks where appropriately trained and competent.
- Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports, and documentation.
- Implement care plans and work collaboratively with allied health professionals and stakeholders.
- Support participants to engage in community, social, and recreational activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment at all times.
- Adhere to WHS requirements, infection control standards, safeguarding obligations, and organisational policies and procedures.
- ️ Qualifications & Experience Required
Essential:

Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or Aged Care
- Demonstrated experience of a minimum of 2 years supporting individuals with Huntington’s Disease, severe dysphagia and mealtime management, complex behaviours, high falls risk, Assistive Technology (AT) communication systems
- Knowledge on the implementation of PBS strategies.
- Experience in mealtime management (texture modifications, aspiration prevention).
- Medication administration competency and experience.
- First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) – current and valid.
- Manual Handling and Infection Control training (completed within the last 12 months).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain).
- Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
- Completion of NDIS Workers' Orientation Module
- Flu vaccination 2026
Desirable:

Additional qualifications or training in Behaviour Support, Dementia Care, or Mental Health.
- Experience in supported independent living (SIL) or residential disability settings.
- Strong understanding of Huntington’s Disease progression, neurological conditions, communication changes, and emotional regulation.
