Remember the excitement of the Scholastic Book Fair when you were a kid? Here’s your chance to be the person who brings that excitement to life! We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver to join our Crestmead team and help us deliver mobile bookcases and event gear to local schools.
What You’ll Do
As the face of the Scholastic Book Fair on the road, your day-to-day will include:
- Driving with Care: Safely operating an HR-licensed vehicle to deliver and collect Book Fair materials across the region.
- The Setup: Loading and unloading book display units and equipment (trolleys are provided, but manual handling is part of the gig).
- Face of the company: Providing friendly, professional customer service to school staff when you arrive.
- Vehicle Pride: Keeping your truck clean, tidy, and performing basic safety compliance checks.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
We’re looking for a reliable professional who takes pride in their work. Our ideal candidate has:
- A current HR Licence with a safe driving record.
- Strong customer service and communication skills—you’ll be interacting with schools daily.
- Physical fitness to safely lift and move cartons of books and display equipment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive, team-player attitude.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, especially during our high-demand Book Fair peak periods.
- Previous delivery or transport experience is highly regarded, but a great attitude is essential!

Please Note: Because we work closely with schools, shortlisted candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Driver's History Report and a National Police Check. Pre-employment screening also includes a medical check with a drug and alcohol screen, as well as recent work reference checks.
