With business partnering responsibilities, you will work closely with stakeholders from our Football, Pathways and Commercial departments, giving you the opportunity to influence decision-making and see the direct impact of your work within one of Australia's leading sporting organisations.
About The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will deliver financial insights, reporting and analysis that support strategic decision-making and the ongoing success of the Club.
What You'll Be Doing

Support the day-to-day financial operations of the Club, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and balance sheet reconciliations.

Support month-end and year-end reporting, including reconciliations, journals and financial reporting requirements.

Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary to support business performance.

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecast reporting.

Monitor departmental budgets and provide recommendations to support effective financial management.

Identify and implement process improvements that enhance financial reporting, controls and operational efficiency.

Assist with financial analysis and ad hoc projects to support strategic and operational decision-making.
About You
-
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar finance or accounting role.

Degree qualification in Accounting or Finance.

CA or CPA qualification, or be actively working towards completion.

Sound knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general accounting principles.

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Experience using accounting software - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience highly regarded.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.

The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.
