This unique senior clinical opportunity will enable you to drive system-wide change across South Western Sydney Local Health District.As the Senior Clinician - Mental Health Intellectual Disability, you will play a key leadership role in building the capability of mental health services, disability providers, and broader stakeholders to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Working collaboratively across sectors, you will provide specialist consultancy, education, mentoring and clinical leadership, while contributing to innovative service development, workforce capability, quality improvement initiatives and strengthened care pathways for consumers and their families.This role offers the opportunity to influence practice at a district-wide level, advocate for best-practice and least restrictive approaches to care and make a meaningful impact on the lives of people with intellectual disability and complex mental health needs.
Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking an experienced and innovative allied health professional with extensive clinical experience supporting consumers with intellectual disability and mental health needs.The ideal candidate will be a confident clinical leader who enjoys working collaboratively across diverse service systems and disciplines. They will bring demonstrated expertise in education and workforce development, the ability to mentor and support clinicians and non-clinical stakeholders, and a strong track record of leading service improvement initiatives.Success in this role will require exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence practice, navigate complex systems, and build strong partnerships across health, disability and community sectors. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be passionate about improving the quality of care and promoting the rights, inclusion and wellbeing of people with intellectual disability.
