About the Role
Affective Care is seeking a compassionate, experienced Disability Support Worker to provide one-on-one in-home support to a valued client. This role involves supporting the client with daily personal care and complex health needs, including **PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) tube feeding**, in a warm, respectful, and person-centred manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer PEG tube feeds and manage related equipment in line with the client's care plan and clinical guidelines
- Monitor and respond to any signs of feeding intolerance, discomfort, or complications, and escalate promptly per protocol
- Maintain stoma site care and hygiene as directed by treating health professionals
- Provide personal care support (showering, dressing, mobility assistance) as required
- Support with medication administration
- Assist with domestic tasks, meal preparation and community access
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, feeds administered, and any incidents
- Communicate professionally with the client, their family/support network, and the Affective Care coordination team
- Follow all infection control, manual handling, and workplace health and safety procedures
About You
- Current experience with **PEG/enteral feeding** is highly desirable (training can be provided to the right candidate)
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (if applicable)
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle (preferred)
- A caring, patient, and respectful approach, with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a broader care team
- Reliability and flexibility with rostered shifts
