Gaffke’s Gardens & Landscaping is seeking a motivated Horticultural Trainee to join our growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in horticulture while gaining hands-on experience across garden maintenance and landscaping.
Key Duties
- Lawn mowing and edging
- Weeding and general garden maintenance
- Hedge trimming and pruning
- Planting and plant care
- Learning to safely operate hand and power gardening equipment
- Assisting with landscaping projects
- Working alongside experienced team members while developing practical horticultural skills
What We’re Looking For
- Genuine interest in horticulture, gardening and working outdoors
- Reliable, motivated and willing to learn
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Respectful and professional when working at clients’ properties
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Current driver’s licence preferred
Previous gardening, landscaping or outdoor work experience is advantageous but not essential. We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude who is keen to learn and develop their skills.

Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
