Widgets Early Learning Centre is a family operated child care service with over 25 years experience in teaching and caring for children. We boast a beautiful outdoor space and clear open indoor spaces, and have a genuine family centred approach to caring for children in early childhood.
Our space is flexible - we run an indoor/outdoor routine with minimal transitions for children. We have progressive meal times, grouptimes, and value children's agency as a top priority.
We are seeking a strong and passionate early childhood Room Leader with at least 3 years experience as a Room Leader. You would need to hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood, and have experience in leadership. Someone with a keen interest in developing a child centred program would be ideal for this role. We are looking for passion, drive and commitment in our educators as we see our educators as family, and support each other accordingly.

Your main responsibilities would include:
- Teaching and caring for the children in your care
- Creating an educational program that is inclusive and progressive
- Running a comprehensive school readiness program according to our centre philosophy
- Aligning with our centre philosophy, focusing on children's agency and voice, as well as best outcomes for children
- Work as a team with other staff for the day to day management of the centre
- Communicate with families on a daily basis regarding the progress of each child
- Plan, implement and evaluate a child centred program, as well as observations, appropriate for the age group of the room
- Work alongside the Director to implement changes within the centre and keep abreast of current ideologies and industry changes
The successful candidate will:
- Be passionate, driven and committed to the child care industry
- Hold 3yr experience as a Certificate III or Diploma Qualified Room Leader
- Be confident and show leadership skills and management ability
- Have the ability to manage staff and children
- Confident
- Have experience documenting and working towards quality learning outcomes
- A working knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, and involvment in the SAT
- Current First Aid, including Asthma, Anaphylaxis Training
- Current Working with Children Check

Pay: $36.00 – $40.00 per hour
