About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will take ownership of line performance through strategic planning, continuous improvement and innovation.
This role plays a key part in improving reliability, reducing downtime, and driving automation and robotics initiatives across site operations.
What your day looks like:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise line performance and reliability
Analyse production data and implement strategies to reduce downtime
Develop and execute short- and long-term maintenance plans
Partner with Operators, Team Leaders and Trades to improve capability and performance
Lead and support automation, robotics and small-scale capital improvement projects
Champion safe systems of work and ensure availability of critical spare parts
The Ingredients for Success
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:
Mechanical/Electrical trade or Engineering qualification (preferred)
Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or heavy industry environments
Strong background in continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, SMED)
Experience with CMMS systems (SAP highly regarded)
Project management and problem-solving capability (5 Why’s, A3, 8D)
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
