Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will take ownership of line performance through strategic planning, continuous improvement and innovation.
This role plays a key part in improving reliability, reducing downtime, and driving automation and robotics initiatives across site operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise line performance and reliability
- Analyse production data and implement strategies to reduce downtime
- Develop and execute short- and long-term maintenance plans
- Partner with Operators, Team Leaders and Trades to improve capability and performance
- Lead and support automation, robotics and small-scale capital improvement projects
- Champion safe systems of work and ensure availability of critical spare parts
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:
- Mechanical/Electrical trade or Engineering qualification (preferred)
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or heavy industry environments
- Strong background in continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, SMED)
- Experience with CMMS systems (SAP highly regarded)
- Project management and problem-solving capability (5 Why’s, A3, 8D)
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
