Job Overview
In this role, you will be supporting a team of highly skilled fermentation and downstream scientists in their day-to-day tasks and contributing to the operation of the R&D laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Prepare fermentation media and buffers
- Clean and sterilise fermenters and associated labware, as well as DSP equipment
- Assist in setup and teardown of fermentation and DSP runs
- Support equipment calibration and maintenance under supervision
- Hands-on execution of fermentation and DSP experiments at lab scale
- Routine cleaning and organisation of fermentation and downstream workspaces
- Monitor inventory and restocking supplies for both Fermentation and DSP
- Conduct data entry related to fermentation and DSP batches
About You
You will thrive in this role if you have:

Strong attention to detail and a reliable, consistent approach to your work
- A willingness to learn and build new skills in a fast-paced R&D environment
- Genuine motivation to contribute to the research being carried out by the team
- A collaborative mindset and enjoyment of working as part of a team
- Background in life sciences, chemical engineering, biotechnology or biochemical engineering; experience in laboratory workflows or biomanufacturing is preferred
- Experience in fermentation of recombinant proteins (desirable but not mandatory)
- Experience in separation and purification of recombinant proteins using operating units such as membrane filtration, chromatography, crystallization, and drying (desirable but not mandatory)
