Your new role:
Join a newly established and innovative youth mental health service where you will provide senior Occupational Therapy expertise to support young people aged 12-25 years experiencing complex mental health challenges.
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention and care planning within a multidisciplinary youth mental health team.
Work collaboratively with Headspace, Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS), Adult Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Services to ensure seamless care pathways and positive consumer outcomes.
Provide clinical leadership through supervision, mentoring and support of junior clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement and evaluation activities as part of the establishment and ongoing growth of the Headspace In-Reach Program.
About you:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about improving mental health outcomes for young people and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Demonstrated experience delivering Occupational Therapy services to consumers with complex mental health presentations, including working autonomously and applying advanced clinical judgement.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across multidisciplinary teams and community-based services.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate care and contribute to positive consumer experiences in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Experience providing clinical supervision, education and support to developing clinicians, along with a commitment to service improvement and evidence-based practice.
