Disability Support Worker – Ongoing Hours Available
Location: Geelong & Surrounding Areas, Victoria
Granite Care is seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in the Geelong region.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a participant-focused organisation that values quality support, professionalism and positive outcomes. We have ongoing shifts available including weekdays, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and active nights.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants to assist them in achieving their goals and maintaining independence within their homes and communities.
Duties may include:
- Personal care and hygiene support
- Community access and social participation
- Domestic assistance and meal preparation
- Medication assistance
- Transport to appointments and activities
- Behaviour support implementation
- Documentation and progress notes
- Promoting participant choice, dignity and independence
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or Home & Community) OR equivalent qualification
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Employee Working With Children Check (Victoria)
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR Certificate
- Valid Victorian Driver's Licence
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Smartphone with internet access
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Full Australian working rights
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Desirable
- Experience supporting participants with autism, psychosocial disabilities, intellectual disabilities or complex behaviours
- Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans
- Medication Administration training
- Manual Handling training
- Experience with high-intensity supports

Pay: $40.00 – $55.38 per hour
