Our Talent Acquisition team is seeking an experienced Assistant Talent Acquisition Advisor to support the delivery of our workforce strategy and help attract and retain the talent needed to achieve our organisational priorities.

The Opportunity
As an Assistant Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will join a collaborative and supportive Talent Acquisition team, contributing to the delivery of high-volume recruitment across the Department of Customer Service.
In this role, you will support bulk recruitment activities, including talent pool campaigns and assessment centres, while ensuring a smooth and positive experience for candidates and hiring areas. Your responsibilities will include coordinating recruitment processes, managing candidate communications, scheduling assessments and interviews, and assisting with job briefings and related administrative activities.

In this role you will:
- Assist with high-volume recruitment initiatives, including bulk campaigns, talent pools, and assessment centres, ensuring processes are coordinated efficiently and consistently.
- Contribute to proactive sourcing strategies using platforms such as LinkedIn and internal channels to build and maintain strong candidate pipelines.
- Support the management of internal mobility processes, including extensions, secondments, and large-scale movement activities across supported portfolios.
- Provide guidance and administrative support to hiring managers throughout recruitment and internal movement processes, reinforcing consistent and compliant practices.
- Act as a key contact for vacancy and candidate enquiries, delivering timely and accurate information to support a positive stakeholder experience.
- Build effective working relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders, using insights and data to support Talent Advisors in delivering quality hiring outcomes.
To succeed as an Assistant Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will have a unique blend of experience including:
- Experience and knowledge of the recruitment lifecycle, including an understanding of compliance and privacy requirements.
- Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume recruitment or administration activities, with the ability to manage competing priorities across bulk campaigns and processes.
- Proven ability in candidate management, with the capability to quickly build rapport and engage effectively with candidates both in writing and over the phone.
- Knowledge of the Government Sector Employment Act (highly desirable; training can be provided).
- Strong attention to detail, with a proven ability to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines and time pressures.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative systems used to support recruitment processes.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and professional correspondence.

Salary Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $99938 base plus superannuation
