We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager who is also confident operating Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles and assisting with furniture deliveries when required.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys both warehouse leadership and being out on the road, ensuring our customers receive the exceptional service Banana Home is known for.
About the Role
As our Warehouse Manager / HR Delivery Driver, you'll oversee the daily operations of our warehouse while ensuring stock is received, stored, picked and dispatched efficiently. You'll also support our delivery team by operating HR trucks and delivering furniture to customers when required.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll lead by example, maintain high operational standards and help drive continuous improvement across our warehouse and logistics operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
- Lead, train and supervise warehouse staff.
- Plan daily workloads and warehouse activities.
- Coordinate inbound shipping containers and stock receivals.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and stocktakes.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Coordinate picking, packing and dispatch of customer orders.
- Ensure trucks are loaded safely and efficiently.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation and presentation.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs including inventory accuracy, dispatch performance and productivity.
- Liaise with customer service, suppliers and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement and improve warehouse procedures and processes.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements and safe manual handling practices.
- Manage warehouse equipment and organise maintenance where required.
Furniture Delivery
- Safely operate a Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle.
- Deliver premium furniture to customers throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas.
- Load, unload and handle furniture safely to prevent damage.
- Assemble furniture where required.
- Complete vehicle pre-start inspections and maintain delivery vehicles.
- Secure loads correctly before transport.
- Provide exceptional customer service during every delivery.
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
- Represent the Banana Home brand professionally at all times.
About You
You'll have:
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence (essential).
- Previous experience managing a warehouse or logistics operation.
- Experience in furniture delivery, removals or transport (preferred).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Experience using warehouse management or inventory systems.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to safely perform manual handling and heavy lifting.
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to lead by example.
