The Role
As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will manage the delivery of large technical blasting projects and provide technical support, training and quality expertise to improve efficiencies and bottom-line results for our customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage large technical blasting projects from planning through to completion, including reporting and publication of results
Develop strategies that enhance customer value through Value-in-Use and Total Cost of Ownership products and applications
Identify and implement improvement projects at key customer sites
Support the introduction and optimisation of electronic detonator technology
Provide technical input into tenders, proposals and customer negotiations
Deliver technical training programs, including Blasting Academy, for internal and external stakeholders
Support Dyno Nobel’s underground expansion whilst working with market leading technologies, both domestically and internationally
What you'll bring
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science or a related discipline (or extensive relevant industry expertise)
Proven technical drill & blast expertise in an underground environment
Extensive explosives product knowledge including new product development
Strong project management, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across multiple projects
Willingness to travel to sites on a regular basis, both nationally and internationally and ability to thrive in a multicultural environment
