About the role
As a Full System Switcher, you will play a critical role in safely managing switching operations across Evoenergy’s electricity network. Working under System Operations direction, you will enable safe access to the network for internal teams and external customers while ensuring compliance with all procedures and standards.
You will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality work with minimal customer impact, while providing leadership, technical expertise, and mentoring to field teams.
Key Responsibilities

Perform switching operations across HV, LV, overhead and underground networks

Manage site safety, resources, scope and delivery of works daily, enforcing safe procedures and behaviours

Ensure timely, safe and high-quality delivery of work while minimising customer impact

Resolve day-to-day issues and mentor team members on technical and performance matters

Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders to coordinate outages and optimise work delivery

Liaise with customers and assist with conflict resolution where required

Contribute to continuous improvement by providing feedback on standards, processes and work practices

Participate in on-call and after-hours rosters

Other duties within the position holder’s skill, competence and training as directed.

OH&S General Induction Card
-
Certificate III in Electro-technology or Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems Distribution Overhead, Craft Certificate or equivalent.

Hold current or in process of obtaining switching authorisation for HV, LV overhead and underground network, zone substations and transmission network
-
Demonstrated understanding of the operation and maintenance of electricity network infrastructure and field operations and high level knowledge of construction standards.
