About the opportunity:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our WA Aggregates team.
With exciting investment funding is bringing brand new assets to the quarry, you will be responsible for improving the overall performance of both new and existing assets, so they meet the production requirements at the lowest cost of ownership and the highest level of safety.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of daily planned maintenance and breakdown works. You will implement the maintenance plan to the agreed standards - maximising equipment availability, reliability, productivity and reducing maintenance costs whilst maintaining accurate and consistent maintenance records for all plant and equipment. This includes implementation of comprehensive preventative maintenance plans and timely reaction to unplanned breakdown events.
Further responsibilities will include supervising and managing contractor maintenance teams; ensuring insurances and training are up to date and that all Holcim policies and procedures are being complied with at all times.
About you:
- Trade qualifications i.e. Fitter or similar are essential.
- Previous supervisory experience ideally in in the quarry/mining/ construction materials/heavy industrial manufacturing or similar industries.
- Hold or ability to obtain Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor certificate per WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022
- Sound understanding of equipment reliability concepts.
- Experience in preventative maintenance.
- Experience in running and coordinating maintenance workshops.
- Sound understanding of SHE systems.
- Total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm.
- You will be a self-starter, safety focused, decisive and able to think on your feet.
- You must be an excellent communicator and be able to work well within a small team whilst leading by example.
- Experience using SAP or similar.
- Must be prepared to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.
