SafeWork NSW is the state's workplace health and safety regulator. Our mission is to reduce work-related fatalities, injuries and illnesses by ensuring workplaces comply with health and safety laws. About the role:
The Project Officer will support the Stakeholder Engagement team, with a focus on external relations including engaging unions, health and safety representatives (HSRs) and industry stakeholders to reinforce the importance of workplace safety and enhance the skills and knowledge of HSRs to empower them to make a positive impact on workplace safety.

About You:
This role would be well suited to someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys coordinating activities, working with a variety of stakeholders and supporting the delivery of projects in a fast-paced environment.
In addition, you may bring:

Experience in project coordination, administration, program support or similar roles

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Experience preparing documentation such as reports, briefs, meeting papers, external resources or project updates
-
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external partners
-
Attention to detail, particularly when managing project documentation and tracking actions
-
Experience supporting governance processes, meetings or working groups
-
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple projects simultaneously
-
Experience using tools such as SharePoint, project tracking tools or similar systems
-
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and support practical solutions
