We manufacture and install blinds, shutters, awnings, and security screens. Everything we sell, we make here in Brisbane. Everything we make, we install ourselves. We've been doing it this way since 1987.
We're growing our install team and we need the right person to support our install team.
The role
This is a hands-on field leadership role. You'll be the first point of contact for our install team, the person they call when something's not right, when they're not sure, or when a job needs a second set of eyes.
You're not a desk job. You'll be out on site doing check measures, conducting quality inspections, and making calls on the spot. You'll also be the link between what happens in the field and what the office needs to know.
What you'll do
Check measuring
- Conduct check measures across the residential and commercial job pipeline
- Identify and flag any site issues before product is manufactured
- Maintain accuracy standards — measure twice, every time
Quality and site inspections
- Attend installs on complex or high-value jobs
- Conduct post-install quality checks and sign-off where required
- Identify recurring issues and feed them back into training and process
Team support
- Be the first call for installers when they hit a problem on site
- Provide on-the-spot technical guidance to TA-level fitters
- Assist with onboarding of new installer team members
Coordination
- Work closely with scheduling and customer care on job readiness
- Flag scaffold, access, or complexity requirements before the install day
- Contribute to the NCR process — report clearly, don't bury it
What we're looking for
You've been fitting for a while. You know the product category (blinds, shutters, security screens, or something close to it). You've probably done check measuring. You're the person on site who notices things.
We're not looking for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. This role is in the field.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years in window furnishing installation or a closely related trade (kitchens, building products, security, shade)
- Comfortable with the full residential product range: roller blinds, plantation shutters, security screens, awnings
Skills and attributes
- Technically confident and detail-oriented
- Clear communicator — installers and admin both need to understand you
- Proactive — you flag problems early, not after the job's failed
- Reliable and self-directed in the field — you don't need to be chased
