THE ROLE
The Principal Policy and Project Officer, Workforce will lead on the delivery of the Family Violence Industry Plan (FV Industry Plan) and workforce related actions under Until every Victorian is safe: Third rolling action plan to end family and sexual violence 2025-2027. Working alongside the Senior Policy and Project Officer, Workforce, the position is tasked with providing advice on the future direction of the work program and driving key deliverables and outcomes.
The Workforce team will work across the Family Safety Victoria division to provide comprehensive visibility and oversight of workforce related policy and program initiatives, which span work from prevention through to response and recovery. The team will also work closely with program areas across the department, government agencies, peak bodies, the community services sector and other stakeholder groups.
The position is required to support the Manager including but not limited to program, policy, data and analytics, stakeholder management, team culture and people management responsibilities. The position may also have line management responsibilities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead policy oversight, implementation and reporting on the delivery of the Family Violence Industry Plan and workforce related actions under Until every Victorian is safe: Third rolling action plan to end family and sexual violence 2025-2027. This includes providing advice on the future direction of the work program and leading on key deliverables and outcomes.
- Work across the Family Safety Victoria division to provide comprehensive visibility and oversight of workforce related policy and program initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate the preparation and delivery ofauthoritative advice, reasoned recommendations and innovative solutions to ministers, the Secretary and other senior stakeholders on complex and sensitive issues based on comprehensive research, evidence, and stakeholder consultation.
