The Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Bricklayer to join our team and work across high-end residential construction projects.
The role will involve laying bricks, blocks and masonry to specification, interpreting construction plans and drawings, measuring and cutting materials to required dimensions, applying mortar and ensuring correct alignment, and constructing masonry elements as required on site.
You will work closely with the Site Manager, Operations Manager and broader site team to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the quality expected on architecturally designed homes.
This role is suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can work well within a team and understands the importance of accuracy, presentation and site professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks and masonry to specification
- Interpret construction plans and drawings
- Measure and cut materials to required dimensions
- Apply mortar and ensure correct alignment
- Construct masonry elements as required on site
- Carry out bricklaying, blockwork and general masonry works in accordance with drawings, specifications and site requirements
- Ensure all work is level, plumb, aligned and finished to a high standard
- Maintain strong attention to detail, particularly on high-end residential finishes
- Work closely with Site Managers and other trades to coordinate site activities
- Assist with sequencing and planning of masonry works to support the construction programme
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Follow all WHS requirements, site rules and safe work practices
- Identify and communicate any issues with drawings, materials or site conditions
- Protect completed works and minimise material waste
- Support the broader site team where required
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer within residential construction
- Experience working on architecturally designed or high-end custom homes will be highly regarded
- Strong bricklaying, blockwork and general masonry skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Good understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
- Ability to work well with Site Managers, subcontractors and other trades
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
- Strong awareness of WHS requirements and safe work practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trade qualification in bricklaying or equivalent experience preferred
- Current white card required

Pay: $80,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
