The business services a large and diverse customer base and operates in a fast-paced hospitality environment requiring consistent food quality, operational efficiency, and high standards of customer service.
Due to ongoing business growth and operational requirements, the business requires the services of a qualified and experienced Chef on a full-time basis to support kitchen operations and maintain culinary standards.
Position Overview
The nominated position of Chef is a full-time role. The role requires a qualified and experienced individual capable of managing food preparation activities, supporting menu development, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
The position is critical to the ongoing operation of the business due to the volume of service, complexity of menu offerings, and need to maintain consistent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a range of dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
- Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal updates
- Ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, taste, and presentation
- Supervise and support kitchen staff during daily service operations
- Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
- Follow dietary requirements and accommodate special requests where required
- Support effective kitchen operations, including cost control and minimising food waste
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff when required
About You
- Must hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery & Diploma
- Minimum 2- 3 years’ relevant experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Experience working in a high-volume or fast-paced kitchen environment
- Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction
- Good communication skills and professional work ethic
- Strong attention to detail, hygiene, and presentation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak service periods

- Salary: AUD $80,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
