Contract Administrator
Martin Brothers | Brisbane, QLD | Full-time, Permanent | $75,000 – $95,000 per annum + superannuation
About Martin Brothers
Martin Brothers is a Brisbane-based building and construction company delivering commercial and residential projects across South East Queensland. We're growing our project delivery team and looking for a Contract Administrator to help keep our sites running on time, on budget and on scope.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll be the point of contact for the commercial administration of our subcontract and supply agreements — from award through to final account. You'll keep contract documentation, variations and payments moving accurately and on schedule, while working closely with site teams to flag and resolve issues before they become costly.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer subcontracts and supply agreements across one or more live building projects, from engagement through to close-out and final account.
- Review, price and negotiate contract variations with subcontractors and suppliers, keeping commercial outcomes aligned with project budgets.
- Track subcontractor performance against contract terms, program milestones and quality requirements, and document any departures.
- Prepare progress claims, payment schedules and reconciliations, liaising with the project's quantity surveyor and finance team.
- Respond to contractual queries and help resolve disputes or discrepancies as they arise on site.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready contract files, correspondence registers and variation logs.
- Work with project managers, site supervisors and design consultants to keep contractual arrangements aligned with construction sequencing.
- Prepare status reports and briefing notes for senior management on contract performance and commercial risk.
- Collect and analyse project cost and progress data to support reporting to stakeholders and clients.
What You'll Bring
- A Diploma, Associate Degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, business or a related field — or substantial equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience administering commercial or subcontract agreements in the building or construction industry.
- Working knowledge of standard form construction contracts (e.g. AS4000, AS4902 or similar).
- Strong written communication skills for correspondence, variations and reporting.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple live sites.
- Proficiency with contract or document management software and the MS Office suite.
What We Offer
- A permanent, full-time role based in Brisbane with a stable pipeline of projects.
- Salary of $75,000 – $95,000 per annum (commensurate with experience) plus superannuation.
- A supportive project delivery team and genuine opportunities to grow with the business.
Pay: $72,428.42 – $157,098.97 per year
