We're looking for an Accountant with 4+ years in Australian public practice who wants to own their client portfolio, mentor junior staff, and have a real say in how we operate.
What you'll actually do:
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for a diverse portfolio (individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs)
- Manage BAS, IAS, and compliance obligations end-to-end
- Use HandiLedger, HandiTax, Xero, and MYOB to deliver efficient, accurate work
- Be the primary client contact for advice and queries—building relationships that last
- Review and mentor junior team members, helping them grow
- Contribute to the firm's continuous improvement—we value your input
What you'll bring:
- ✅ 4+ years in an Australian public practice (essential)
- ✅ Strong HandiLedger & HandiTax experience (essential—we use these daily)
- ✅ Practical experience with SMSF compliance
- ✅ Xero & MYOB proficiency (2+ years practical experience)
- ✅ Excellent communication skills—you can explain tax to a client without confusing them
- ✅ A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- ✅ Experience with GST and margin scheme (preferred but not essential)

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
