Working a 15:6 FIFO roster ex Perth, you’ll play a key role in the engineering and delivery of significant bulk earthworks and civil construction activities.
We’re interested in speaking with experienced Project Engineers through to Senior Project Engineers, with the level of appointment determined by your experience and capability. We’re particularly interested in engineers with strong civil construction experience who understand the demands of delivering major projects in the Pilbara.

About the role
Working closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent and broader project team, you will provide engineering, technical and project delivery support across assigned scopes of work.
You’ll be involved across planning and programming, productivity, cost control, subcontractor management, contractual requirements, HSEQ and project reporting, helping ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
For our Senior Project Engineers, the role will carry greater responsibility across project forecasting, short-term programming, subcontractor administration and providing technical and delivery leadership to project and field operations.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide technical and engineering support across project activities
- Plan, program and coordinate assigned civil construction works
- Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead programs and provide input into the broader project schedule
- Monitor productivity across assigned scopes and identify opportunities to improve project performance
- Monitor costs, forecasts and financial performance across assigned project activities
- Support project reporting and ensure required information is accurate and delivered on time
- Manage and administer subcontractors and suppliers across assigned scopes
- Understand project contractual requirements and assist with the identification and management of risks, delays and opportunities
- Provide technical and delivery support to Supervisors and field operations
- Coordinate with construction teams to ensure engineering requirements support safe and efficient production
- Build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Ensure works are planned and delivered in accordance with project HSEQ requirements
- Support the delivery of assigned works safely, on time and within budget
Your skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Current experience working as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer within civil construction
- Previous tailings storage facility (TSF), mining infrastructure or similar bulk earthworks project experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong civil construction experience, ideally across bulk earthworks, roadworks, concrete, utilities or similar disciplines
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting the delivery of project scopes or assigned sections of work
- Strong understanding of construction planning, programming, productivity and cost control
- Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers
- Sound understanding of project contractual and commercial requirements
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- Competency with Microsoft Office and project planning/document management systems
- Previous Pilbara and FIFO project experience will be highly regarded
- Construction White Card
- Valid C Class driver’s licence
