Being a Disability Support Worker is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to build meaningful connections and support people to live life on their terms. Every shift, you’ll play an important role in helping participants maintain their independence, engage in their interests, and feel genuinely supported in their daily lives.
We’re currently recruiting support workers across multiple SIL homes in Christies Beach and surrounding suburbs, supporting participants with varying support needs including community access, personal care, daily living assistance, and positive behaviour support.
This role is ideal for someone calm, patient, reliable, and genuinely passionate about person-centred support.
We’re seeking someone who:
- Has experience supporting participants with disability within SIL or community settings
- Is confident assisting with personal care and daily living supports
- Can build positive rapport and engage participants in meaningful activities and conversations
- Is calm, patient, and able to maintain strong professional boundaries
- Has strong communication, documentation, and basic computer skills
- Is reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
- Has experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern (desirable)
- Holds a valid P2 or Open Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Has full working rights in Australia
- Is willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Is willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
- Is open to completing required NDIS training modules
