Frontline Project Officer
Location – Blacktown
Employment type –6-month Temporary Full-Time Opportunity with possible extension
Salary – Clerk Grade 7/8, $116,981 to $129,492 p.a. plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
This role is considered a Frontline position, therefore, hybrid working arrangements are not available. You will be required to work across all 4 office locations in Western Sydney District; including Parramatta, Blacktown, Mount Druitt and Penrith. The position requires face-to-face support and project delivery, therefore, the expectation is 4 days in the office with a 1 day working from home, where operational requirements permits.
The Project Officer role within Western Sydney District supports the delivery of key initiatives across our District. You will be required to work across all 4 offices locations in the District, providing face-to-face support to District staff. You will be coordinating project activities, supporting stakeholders, tracking progress and ensuring project documentation and reporting are accurate and up to date. You will work closely with Managers and Director within the District, supporting relevant staff to keep projects on track, identify risks, and contribute to improving processes and ways of working. The Project Officer will be responsible for the creation of training packages, as well as the facilitation and delivery of various training and onboarding processes throughout all office locations in the District. Strong communication and excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities, all with a passion for driving outcomes are paramount for the Project Officer role.
What you’ll do
The primary role of a Project Officer within Western Sydney District varies but includes:
Providing evidence-based policy analysis and advice to contribute towards the development of high quality social housing policy, which drives reform and directly contributes to better outcomes for individuals, families, groups and communities.
Working as part of a team on large projects to operationalise policy frameworks and amend existing operational policy.
Creating various training packages, that you will facilitated and deliver to staff throughout the District
Deliver and facilitate Onboarding activities within the 8-week onboarding program, such as District Induction.
Assisting with the development and implementation of changes to the HOMES system to enable effective policy implementation.
Working as part of a team to develop operational tools and resources for frontline staff.
Developing and delivering training to frontline staff across NSW.
Working with stakeholders inside and outside of the organisation.
Being flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Providing rapid advice on operational policies.
What we’re looking for
Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Detailed knowledge of social housing, DCJ Housing policies and demonstrated experience in implementing these policies.
Working knowledge of Rent Choice and other private market assistance policies and programs
Excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Detailed knowledge of DCJ IT systems, particularly HOMES and OneTRIM.
Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise and deliver within a high volume environment.
Proven ability to monitor policy and system compliance.
Ability to manage testing of system applications.
Ability to collaborate.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required.
