Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records, general ledger accounts and accounting documentation;
- Prepare and process journal entries, accruals and accounting adjustments;
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and account reconciliations;
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable and other financial transactions;
- Prepare internal financial reports and support month-end accounting activities;
- Assist with financial reporting, management reporting and accounting analysis;
- Manage trust accounting transactions, including rental receipts, payments, transfers and reconciliations in accordance with compliance requirements;
- Process property-related financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records;
- Process sales-related accounting transactions, including deposit releases, settlement payments and commission calculations;
- Maintain accounting records and financial information using systems including Xero, PropertyMe, Agent Box and other business platforms;
- Assist with audit preparation, compliance requirements and maintaining appropriate financial controls;
- Provide accounting support and financial reporting to management.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience;
- Experience in financial accounting, accounting operations or a similar accounting role;
- Understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting, journal entries and transaction processing;
- Experience working in the real estate industry or familiarity with property-related accounting processes will be highly regarded;
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero and property management systems (PropertyMe and Agent Box) is desirable;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records;
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team environment.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
