From major campaigns to community projects, you'll lead the creative work that brings Georges River Council's stories to life.
The Role
As our Creative Services Lead, you will drive the creative direction, visual identity and design excellence of Georges River Council. Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Brand, you'll help shape how Council communicates with its community through compelling, accessible and brand aligned visual content.
You will lead the development of creative solutions across campaigns, projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring consistency and excellence across all communication channels. As Council's subject matter expert for design and visual communications, you'll provide trusted advice on branding, creative execution and design best practice.
You'll also oversee Council's brand assets, templates and design systems, support the Digital Asset Management framework, and build organisation wide capability through coaching, mentoring and self-service design tools such as Canva.
Acting as the escalation point for complex creative projects, you'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and external creative partners to deliver exceptional outcomes for our organisation and community.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading creative excellence across digital, print, video, signage and campaign assets that connect with our community and bring Council initiatives to life.
- Shaping the future of our brand by partnering with the Head of Marketing and Brand on creative direction, campaigns and strategic projects.
- Providing expert creative advice to stakeholders across the organisation and guiding the delivery of complex, high-profile projects.
- Driving brand consistency by maintaining and evolving the Georges River Council and Discover Georges River visual identities across all channels and touchpoints.
- Creating tools and systems that empower others, including design templates, brand resources and self-service solutions that support organisation-wide communications.
- Building creative capability through coaching, mentoring and training, helping teams confidently deliver brand-aligned content.
- Collaborating with talented creative partners, including designers, photographers, videographers and agencies, to deliver exceptional outcomes for our community.
About You
We're seeking an experienced creative leader who combines strategic thinking, strong design expertise and a passion for building brands that connect with diverse audiences.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience in a senior creative, design or brand management role.
- A degree qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud skills and a strong portfolio of work across digital and print channels.
- Proven experience developing and managing brand guidelines, visual identity systems and creative assets.
- Experience with Canva governance and self-service design frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and advise across a complex organisation.
- Strong project management capability, with the ability to deliver multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in the use, management and development of a Digital Asset Management system
- A passion for creativity, innovation and developing others through coaching and mentoring.
What We Offer

- Salary from $101,723.29 to $117,859.56 p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
