Position Operations Assistant (Part-time role)
In a nutshell
This gig is all about delivering a clean, fresh and spotless club and ensuring extraordinary member satisfaction in all interactions.
A day in the life
- Ensure the studios are sparkling before each class by cleaning all equipment (bikes, boxing bags, weights etc) and wiping the mirrors and floor so they’re flawless.
- Clean and prepare the equipment required by each member in the gear-up area (boxing gloves, cleats, etc) in line with our customer experience.
- Tidy, polish and scrub the bathroom areas to create a spotless and shiny changeroom experience for members.
- Ensure all areas and equipment are safe and clean and that the club’s appearance reflects the highest standard throughout the studios, changerooms and common areas.
- Advocate safety and ensure an overall safe environment for members and team members including the supervision of aquatics (relevant for clubs with a pool, spa and/or sauna).
- Report any issues or faults you find that require a technical fix.
- Ensure all interactions are warm, queries are answered and feedback handled effectively.
- Find ways to give that little bit extra… especially when it’s unexpected.
To land this gig… and your ongoing mindset
- You have 2+ years of relevant experience, a neat-freak reputation, your first aid, flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule and can readily obtain a Pool Lifeguard certificate and Working with children Check (if required).
- You have aligned experience. You love to create a glistening clean environment for all. You know what it’s like to work with a high profile consumer brand and the value of a well-oiled machine. You may also have some hospitality sector experience. A+ for you.
- You are people-focused. You’re warm, honest and genuine. You get a kick out of creating beautifully fresh and spotless spaces which make people go wow! Going over and above to deliver impeccable cleaning and service makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
- You are self-assured. You listen intently. You speak eloquently. You know who the right person to answer someone’s query is and you’re comfortable communicating at all levels.
- You are driven. You’re perceptive, you ask questions and you strive to understand. You enjoy solving problems. You don’t get flustered easily. You’re comfortable managing your time and can be counted on to maintain a sparkling environment for all.
