What you will do
As coordinator, volunteer engagement, you will lead volunteer programs across Victoria.
You will guide staff and support about 700 volunteers across three programs.
You will:
- lead strong volunteer recruitment, selection, training, support and monitoring processes.
- provide clear advice, guidance and training to volunteers and staff.
- support effective volunteer events, surveys, records, policies and appointment processes.
- lead a small team and support staff performance, learning and development.
- resolve complex issues and help improve volunteer programs under tight timeframes.
About you
No qualification is mandatory for this role. Extensive experience as a volunteer coordinator or manager is highly desirable. A relevant tertiary qualification in social science or a related field is also desirable.
You should also have:
- strong knowledge of Victoria's disability and mental health sectors.
- extensive experience working with volunteers and applying relevant standards and legislation.
- clear communication skills to handle sensitive issues and build trusted working relationships.
- people leadership skills to guide staff, manage projects and improve services.
