About the Role: Support Worker Required – Child with Autism
Nurselink Healthcare is seeking a caring, experienced support worker to work with a child with autism using play-based approaches to support development and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver play-based activities and therapeutic support
- Assist with fine motor skill development
- Support skill-building, independence, and social development
- Work collaboratively with the child and family to achieve developmental goals
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualification in Early Childhood Education, Teaching, Education Support, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or a related field
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent
- Experience working with children with autism and developmental delays
- Knowledge of play-based learning and therapeutic approaches
- Current Working With Children Check and relevant clearances
- National Police Check
- Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Right to work in Australia
Hours:
- 1 day per week during school hours initially
- Additional hours may become available and increase over time
