We are looking for reliable and proactive Night Porters to join our team at Mercure Sydney Parramatta. As the Night Porter, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel during the night shift. Your responsibilities will include assisting guests, maintaining security, and supporting overnight operations.
Located just minutes from Parramatta CBD and directly across from Rosehill Racecourse, our hotel serves a diverse mix of business and leisure travelers. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in our daily operations by ensuring exceptional guest service and maintaining the highest cleaning standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist late-arriving guests with check-ins and check-outs.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and maintain the security of the hotel premises throughout the night.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in public areas as required.
- Set up and prepare areas for breakfast or early morning operations.
- Conduct end-of-day administrative tasks, including cash handling and report preparation.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar role or hospitality environment is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision.
- A friendly, approachable demeanor with a problem-solving attitude.
- Basic IT skills and the ability to handle administrative tasks.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to handle light manual tasks (e.g., moving luggage, cleaning duties).
