Role Overview
We're looking for an English Tutor and Content Reviewer to deliver high-quality English tutoring to students while also supporting our content team by reviewing lesson materials, homework, exams, and answer keys for accuracy, clarity, and structure before they go to design and print. This is a dual role combining classroom delivery with behind-the-scenes quality control on written content.
Key Responsibilities
Tutoring
- Deliver structured English lessons to students across relevant year levels, following Loyola's prepared lesson plans and PPT content
- Manage classroom behaviour and keep lessons on track and on time
- Mark homework and provide accurate, constructive feedback
- Communicate professionally with students and escalate any concerns to the relevant
- Team Lead or Operations contact
- Maintain punctuality and reliability for all scheduled classes
Content Review
- Review English lesson content, homework, exams, and answer keys written by the content writing team for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and structure
- Check that content aligns with the WA Curriculum and is age/year-level appropriate
- Identify inconsistencies, errors, or gaps before materials are passed to design
- Provide clear, specific feedback to content writers so revisions are fast and targeted
- Occasionally assist with light content writing or editing when required
Requirements
- Strong command of English grammar, structure, and writing conventions
- Prior tutoring, teaching, or academic content experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly for catching errors in written material
- Reliable, organised, and comfortable working to deadlines
- Available for both scheduled tutoring sessions and asynchronous content review work
- WWCC (Working with Children Check) required, or willingness to obtain one
Pay: $28.00 – $45.00 per hour
