This role sits on the Revenue Operations team and will be the key operational partner to Whatnot’s Australian GTM organisation. You’ll work closely with local and global Sales, Category, Partnerships, Marketing, Product and Operations teams to help grow Whatnot’s seller base, buyer community and commercial partnerships in Australia.
Own reporting and performance analysis for the Australian GTM organisation, partnering with Data to identify trends, diagnose issues and recommend clear actions.
Build and improve operating rhythms, dashboards, processes and documentation that help AU GTM teams execute effectively.
Translate global playbooks and processes for the Australian market, incorporating local customer expectations, seller needs and market dynamics.
Partner with GTM leaders to define success metrics, track progress and present actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
Support Category and Partnerships teams with analysis of seller acquisition, seller activation, retention, category performance and initiative effectiveness.
Identify opportunities to improve the balance between seller supply and buyer demand across Australian categories.
Lead strategic and operational projects that support Australian growth, including market launches, category expansion and cross-functional process improvements.
Work with Sales, Post-Sales and Category teams to build scalable playbooks for seller onboarding, enablement and ongoing success.
Coordinate with global GTM, Product, Data and Operations teams to ensure clear ownership, effective handoffs and smooth execution across time zones.
Monitor the Australian live-commerce, marketplace and competitive landscape, turning relevant trends into recommendations for Whatnot’s GTM strategy.
Act as a hands-on operator: move from insight to implementation, test solutions quickly and iterate based on results.
We offer flexibility to work from home or from our hubs, and we value in-person time for planning, problem-solving, and connection. Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our Sydney or Melbourne hubs.
In this role, you will be helping build and scale the operating model for Whatnot’s Australian business. You will be comfortable working in a growing market where priorities evolve quickly, processes are still being built, and success depends on strong collaboration across local and global teams.
Experience in consulting, strategic finance, strategy and operations, revenue operations, sales operations, or analytics within a high-growth startup, marketplace, e-commerce, retail, consumer technology, or similarly complex business.
Experience supporting a go-to-market or revenue organisation, ideally across functions such as, Partnerships, Category, Seller Growth, Customer Success, or Post-Sales.
Strong strategic judgement, with the ability to combine data-driven insights, commercial instincts, and a practical understanding of how to execute in-market.
Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to move from high-level business questions to detailed analysis and clear, actionable recommendations.
Strong data skills, including proficiency with SQL, Salesforce, Excel or Google Sheets, and business reporting or dashboarding tools.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insights clearly and tailor your approach to executive, cross-functional, and local market audiences.
A track record of improving processes, building playbooks or operating rhythms, and helping teams execute more effectively.
The ability to translate global strategies and ways of working into practical approaches that reflect Australian customers, sellers, partners, and market dynamics.
Comfort operating at speed and with ambiguity, including the ability to prioritise independently, go deep on complex projects, and make progress without perfect information.
The ability to build trusted relationships across Whatnot while working effectively with colleagues in Australia and internationally across different time zones.
Experience working on a marketplace or a two-sided platform
Passion for creator communities, existing product categories on Whatnot, and/or new verticals that are uniquely suited for live e-commerce
Experience buying and selling in online marketplaces communities

Compensation Range: A$180K - A$220K
