An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a growing advanced manufacturing organisation delivering high precision components and systems for highly regulated industries. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality, continuous improvement, and ensuring products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards.
Working closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems while supporting production from first article through to final inspection.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures.
Conduct internal audits and support external customer and certification audits.
Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Manage non-conformance reports and drive timely resolution.
Support First Article Inspection (FAI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and validation activities where required.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance.
Develop inspection plans and quality documentation.
Monitor quality metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Assist with supplier quality activities, including supplier evaluations and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Previous experience in a Quality Engineer position within manufacturing, precision engineering, aerospace, defence, automotive, or another highly regulated industry.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems. Experience with AS9100 is highly regarded.
Experience using quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, CAPA, Fishbone Analysis, and 5 Why methodology.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
Experience with inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related discipline.
Lead Auditor qualification is advantageous but not essential.
