Job Title: FIFO TIG Welder / Pressure Welder
Location: Western Australia – FIFO from Perth
Employment Type: Full-time / Casual
We are seeking experienced and qualified TIG Welders / Pressure Welders for FIFO work across Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and other materials.
- Weld pipes, pressure vessels, and fabricated components according to approved procedures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
- Prepare, align, fit, and inspect materials before welding.
- Complete welding in accordance with Australian Standards, project specifications, and approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Inspect completed welds and correct any defects.
- Follow site safety procedures, permits, isolations, risk assessments, and quality requirements.
Requirements:
- Australian-recognised welding or engineering trade qualification.
- Proven TIG and pressure-welding experience.
- Current or previous welding qualifications and tickets.
- Experience in pipe welding, pressure vessels, mining, shutdowns, or heavy industry is preferred.
- Ability to pass a weld test before mobilisation.
- Valid White Card.
- Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
- Must have Australian working rights or meet employer-sponsored visa requirements.
- Must be physically fit and comfortable working in remote FIFO conditions.
Pay: $60.00 – $65.00 per hour
