Industry, Customer, Capability & Engagement
As a Senior Contracts and Procurement Advisor, you will work within the External Education team within the Industry, Customer, Capability and Engagement Directorate. The team partners with TAFE NSW to manage the Construct NSW Digital Learning Platform, delivering high quality online micro-skill modules for the construction industry in addition to creating digital education resources for consumers.
The team works collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and manages several contractual partnerships that are critical to the delivery of its programs and services. This role plays a key part in ensuring these contractual arrangements are effectively administered, maintained and monitored, while supporting a range of procurement activities that enable the team to achieve its strategic and operational objectives.
In this role, you will work closely with our internal partners to support the execution of procurement projects, update and maintain our contractual agreements, and ensure governance, compliance and reporting requirements are met.
Responsibilities include:

Lead procurement projects from initiation to close with support of our corporate procurement partners

Draft briefing notes and supporting documents (i.e. procurement plan, evaluation reports, direct negotiation checklists) to facilitate risk analysis and seek approvals.

Work with DCS legal to manage and update contractual arrangements with external suppliers

Ensure governance and compliance standards are met across the team

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and successful implementation.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

Experience in writing and submitting briefing notes (BN)

Exposure to working on procurement related projects for government
-
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure alignment and mutual benefits
-
High level attention to detail, organisation and prioritisation, while meeting tight deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate and present solutions, ideas and recommendations.

Experience working across multiple projects and managing competing priorities.

Ability to undertake research and analysis into business processes, policies and practices.
