What your day could look like
As an Assistant in Nursing, you'll play an important role in helping patients feel supported, safe and cared for throughout their healthcare journey. Working closely with nurses and the wider healthcare team, you'll contribute to positive patient experiences and quality outcomes that make a real difference in the community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Supporting patients with daily care needs, helping promote comfort, dignity, wellbeing and independence.
Working closely with nurses to monitor patient wellbeing, share observations and contribute to safe, responsive care.
Maintaining a safe and welcoming care environment that supports quality outcomes for patients and colleagues.
Assisting with essential care activities and service operations that help keep patient care running smoothly.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care (or equivalent), or successful completion of the first year of an approved nursing degree.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to safe care practices, infection prevention and workplace health and safety.
A proactive approach to learning, professional growth and delivering high-quality patient support.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in aged care, acute care or community health settings and/or additional training that strengthens your ability to support diverse patient needs.
Most importantly, you'll be passionate about providing quality care that improves lives while contributing to a workplace built on compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage.
