About this position
Are you looking to build your career in civil construction and drainage?
As a Vacuum and Jetting Truck Operator - Pipe Cleaning, you will be part of the Infrastructure Engineering Construction team, helping to maintain and improve the City's stormwater drainage network.
In this role, you will operate specialised vacuum, jetting and CCTV equipment to inspect, clean and maintain stormwater pipes, pits and other drainage infrastructure. You will also operate a range of plant, equipment and vehicles while contributing to the delivery of municipal civil works projects in a safe and efficient manner.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

Experience in cleaning and maintaining stormwater pipes, drainage structures and side entry pits in accordance with established procedures and standards.

Ability to interpret both "Dial Before You Dig" and stormwater drainage plans.

Experience in inspecting drainage assets for obstructions, defects and breakages.

Ability to use CCTV equipment for the inspection and assessment of stormwater infrastructure.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety.
The City is willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
