Head Chef/Catering Chef – Finn & Co Café Bucklands
Finn & Co Bucklands is on the lookout for a passionate, skilled, and reliable Head Chef to join our vibrant and fast-paced café!
We’re a locally run café, opening Monday to Saturday, 8am – 2:00pm in the Bucklands retirement village from Saturday the 1st of August. We will be serving up a seasonal all-day brunch menu that champions fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Alongside the café , we also run a thriving catering operation, delivering everything from finger food to large-scale event spreads – and we’re growing fast.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, is confident working both independently and as part of a tight-knit team, and can take the lead in both café and catering. The ideal candidate will bring solid organisation skills, time management, communication and a genuine love for fresh food done well. You must be able to work between our other café locations in Emu Plains & Springwood when required and have excellent communication with other kitchen staff in the operation.
What You’ll Bring:
- At least 4 years’ experience in a busy café or restaurant kitchen
- Experience leading a small kitchen team, managing prep lists and service
- Confidence in menu development and costing
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, high-turnover kitchen
- Strong communication, time management, and food safety knowledge
- A positive attitude and willingness to jump between café service and catering demands
