About the Role: Registered Nurse Level 2 (RN2) positions are a key component of direct patient care and form the foundation of clinical leadership at North Canberra Hospital (NCH). The role requires advanced knowledge within the relevant field of practice, together with demonstrated team leadership skills and experience. At NCH, the RN2 role encompasses four key domains: clinical practice, management, education, and research, with nurses expected to demonstrate excellence across all areas.
The RN2 plays a vital role in ensuring services meet National Safety and Quality Standards, supporting improved staff performance, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
As an Undergraduate Clinical Facilitator, you will work within the Clinical Education team to coordinate, facilitate, and support undergraduate nursing students throughout the year. This support includes clinical guidance, education sessions, and assessment activities in accordance with the Australian Nursing Standards Assessment Tool (ANSAT).
The purpose of this role is to work in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders, including education providers, to support student clinical placements at NCH and ensure placement requirements for AHPRA registration are met. The Undergraduate Clinical Facilitator will draw on a broad range of skills and knowledge to facilitate clinical placements for undergraduate nursing students across the hospital, providing a positive and supportive learning experience that promotes professional growth and development.

Note: This is a temporary position available for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. This position is part-time at 32 hours per week, and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.
