Ormeggio 3.0 builds on seventeen years of culinary excellence while evolving the restaurant’s menu to celebrate both land and sea.
Alongside the premium seafood for which Ormeggio has become renowned, the menu now incorporates exceptional Australian meats, seasonal produce and contemporary Italian techniques.
You will join a professional kitchen that values creativity, precision, discipline, teamwork and continuous development.
Working alongside our senior culinary leadership team, you will become an important part of the brigade responsible for delivering the exceptional standard of food that has earned Ormeggio its national reputation.
You will take ownership of your section, develop your technical skills, contribute to menu evolution and support junior chefs as they progress through the kitchen.

- Take ownership of your section and execute dishes to Ormeggio’s award-winning standards.
- Prepare and present exceptional dishes with consistency, precision and attention to detail.
- Work with premium seafood, meats and seasonal Australian produce.
- Assist with menu development, tastings and seasonal menu changes.
- Maintain exceptional quality control and portion standards.
- Support and mentor junior chefs within the brigade.
- Contribute to preparation, organisation and smooth execution of service.
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and workplace cleanliness standards.
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to continuously improve standards.
- Contribute positively to a professional, respectful and high-performing kitchen culture.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Relevant hospitality or commercial cookery (Certificate III Commercial Cookery) qualifications.
- Approximately 1–3 years’ experience within a quality commercial kitchen.
- Previous experience working with Italian cuisine.
- A genuine passion for Italian food, premium produce and culinary craftsmanship.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to remain composed and deliver consistently during busy services.
- A professional attitude and strong commitment to teamwork.
- A genuine desire to learn, develop and progress your culinary career.
- Previous experience within a hatted, fine-dining or premium restaurant environment.
- Experience working with fresh pasta.
- Strong seafood preparation and cookery skills.
- Experience working with premium meat and seasonal produce.
- A desire to continue developing refined contemporary Italian cooking techniques.
