Role SummaryThe Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, achieving sales and profitability targets, leading and developing the team, and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the store to ensure smooth and efficient performance.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members to achieve individual and store goals.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Manage rostering, staffing levels, and labour costs.
- Oversee inventory control, stock ordering, receiving, and stock rotation.
- Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation meet company standards.
- Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety (if applicable), and company policies.
- Train and develop new and existing staff members.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.
- Manage cash handling, banking, and point-of-sale procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers and head office to ensure efficient store operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems effectively.
- Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and sales reporting.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
